MLK 5K Run


Why wait? Make your New Year's resolutions now! Register now for the first MLK 5K Run/ 1 mile Walk and Festival at Forsyth Park on January 18 2014.

It's a family affair! Parents we will have vendors and live entertainment for you, and for the kids we'll have moonbounces and tasty snacks. Enjoy food, fun, and live entertainment on the big stage from your favorite bands like Nickel Bag Of Funk and recording solo arti

We will be collecting food on Race Day! We have a list at the bottom of the page to give you some ideas to donate.

Martin Luther King Day Parade

The MLK Day Parade will begin at East Board Elementary with marchers needing to be in place at 0800 am as requested by the parade committee. The parade will end at the West Board St. YMCA.
 
 
All youth are strongly encouraged to take part in this event. More information will be announced, shortly !

Battle of the Bands Trip?

The Youth Leadership will be meeting to determine if we have the minimal number of attendees needed to sponsor our planned trip to the Battle of the Bands. We currently have approximately 20 individuals planning to attend the trip, however to make the trip possible we will need at least 35 people. Listen out for an UPDATE, soon!


Girls Engineer It Day!

Here's an exciting event: Girls Engineer It! Day. Saturday, Feb 1st, 2014. Brought to you by the Savannah area Society of Women Engineers along with several other local professional engineering organizations and community sponsors. The day is designed for middle and high school girls to explorer opportunties available in the enginering field. The event will be held at Woodville Tompkins Technical and Career high school. He Expo portion will run from 12:00-1:30pm and the break-out sessions run 1:00-5:30pm. Contact Harold Oglesby @ oglesbyh@gmail.com if you like to register for this event.
